Barre is for the student looking for a fun, fitness class that incorporates a combination of postures inspired by elements of ballet, pilates, strength training and yoga. Props are provided, including balls, bands, weights and hoops. Barre exercises rely mainly upon your bodyweight for resistance, and moves that will challenge your core stability and balance. You will be spending some time on your mat as well as using the barre as a prop to balance while doing exercises that focus on isometric strength training (holding your body still while you contract a specific set of muscles) combined with high reps of small range-of-motion movements. Experience fun music and words of encouragement and support.

This is the tiniest little glimpse… notice the pulses and focus on form. We work to target specific muscles and aim for muscular endurance by doing lots of reps (lots and lots of reps!).
Toning, lengthening, building core strength, fatiguing the muscles…that’s what we do in Barre to bring you a workout like none other (all without high impact moves that can be hard on the joints)!
